Participants:
2009 Leadership Institute Participants Each participant will be Sudanese and will need to pass a pre-application test to show knowledge of Sudanese history and basic competency in English skill. A short personal essay will also be required to illustrate the participant`s ability to express themselves and to identify their personal goals and values.
Application Process:
Applicants may download application in PDF form to print and fax or mail it to the above, or download it in Microsoft Word format and email to info@sudanlions.org.
Note: Please make sure all information is filled out clearly.
Review Process:
Each test and personal essay will be reviewed by a panel who must reach a consensus before an acceptance is issued in order to screen out applicants who are not qualified and to have a fair review process.
Class Size:
The Leadership Institute will accept 15-30 participants per class.
Duration:
Initially, a three weeks course will be developed in the United States and a shorter program in Juba, Sudan. The 3-week course will run 6 days a week with classtime during the day. The evenings are reserved for special presentations on important issues, practical application, and cultural awareness.
Location:
The courses will be offered in Denver, Colorado, and parts of southern Sudan.
